PULSE GENERATOR UNIT Type HVS 1000/PG

The unit is used to obtain the characteristics of the HV cable prior to it being tested for partial discharges and their location using the M&B cable mapping software

Battery powered (4xAA cells)
Fixed 5V pulse output for driving 50Ώ load
Selectable pulse outputs 1μSec and 100nSec

Design Features

The generator Type HVS 1000/PG feeds a short duration current pulse into the cable through the coupling device. The reflected pulse is then displayed on the PD monitor and the delay calculated to obtain the cable characteristics. The value of this delay in μSec is then used in the Data Input window of the cable mapping software.
